5/30 - Someone in the area of Sunny Drive and Fourth Street was reported taking things from under the hood of an abandoned car, then getting into an SUV and driving away. Police were unable to reach the driver of the SUV, which was found parked on Cedar Street in Coulee Dam. They were also unable to contact the registered owner of the abandoned vehicle, which has been abandoned for some time.

6/2 - A woman on Jackson Avenue reported a scam of receiving a check in the mail for $3,700 with instructions to cash the check and then pay processing fees of $2,250, at which point someone would supposedly bring her a certified check. The woman knew it was a scam, but wanted the incident reported so others would be aware of that style of scam.

- A man was reported as brushing up against and grabbing the arm of a man’s daughter at the taco truck. Police located the man, who wouldn’t give his identity at first and was fidgeting with something in his waistband, which police realized was a pocketknife. Police asked the man what was wrong with his shoes, and when the man looked down, police took control of him, cuffed him, and took the knife from him. Police learned his real identity from his wallet and learned that he suffered from some kind of condition and was listed as a missing person. Police elected to release him, but he faces fourth-degree assault charges. The next day, the man was reported as driving erratically. Police spoke to his mother, who explained he was unstable and had taken her car without permission. He returned the car while police were speaking to her, and told police that he was driving carefully.

6/3 - A Nespelem man wanted to file harassment charges against a Coulee Dam man who reportedly put a photo of him up on Facebook, calling him a pedophile. Police told him to speak to the Douglas County sheriff.

6/5 - A man was cited for trespassing at Coulee Playland, where he was seen walking shirtless by an officer who knew him to be banned from the business. The man said he had been exercising by swimming and walking around, and seemed surprised to hear that he had been banned from the premises in 2020.

- A man was banned from the Electric City Bar & Grill. The man had refused to leave the bar multiple times, and when police arrived at closing time, he still refused to leave and was belligerent towards officers. He was eventually told about being banned from the establishment.

- Police helped direct traffic in the area of Elmer City Access Road and River Drive, where a power pole had fallen on a home and a powerline was draped across the roadway.

6/6 - A concerned citizen reported trucks regularly speeding by the Grand Coulee RV Park on SR-174, and also reported a contractor illegally dumping concrete in a canyon just past city limits. Police noted they would inform the city’s inspector about the possible illegal dumping.

- A Volkswagen Beetle on Sunny Drive with a broken-out window and no license plates was determined to have been dumped off there as it wasn’t reported stolen. Police marked it to be towed.

6/7 - A Dodge Truck on Fifth Street was marked to be towed because it was in the roadway and had tabs that had expired in 2019.

5/29 - Two separate citizens reported a suspicious man walking around Tilmus, Central, and Camas Streets, looking at properties for a long time, seemingly “up to something.” They said had gone into an apartment, but they were unsure which one.

5/30 - A couple reported a 2014 Kia stolen. They woke up to see their garage door was open, and someone must have retrieved the car keys from the garage in order to steal the car, which was locked.

6/5 - Police helped secure the scene on River Drive where a tree fell onto a residence and there were downed power lines.
