Final results are in for seven races for spots on the Colville Business Council with five of the seven incumbents keeping their positions, and two losing their positions.
Absentee votes were certified today, June 23, and added to the poll vote results which had been certified on Tuesday.
In the race for Nespelem District Position #1 on the Colville Business Council, incumbent and current chairman Andy Joseph Jr won 370 to 232 votes against Corby Turner. In the race for Nespelem District Position #2, incumbent Shar Zacherle won 357-244 against former chairman Rodney Cawston.
For Inchelium District Position #1, incumbent Marvin Kheel lost 277-165 against Cindy Marchand. Incumbent Richard A. Swan Sr lost 289-148 against Cody Peone for Inchelium District Position #2.
In the Omak District, incumbent Virgil Marchand won 253-174 against Angela Davis for position #1. For Position #2, incumbent Dustin Best won 238-188 against Preston Boyd.
In the race for Keller District Position #1, incumbent Joseph Somday won 91-86 against Patrick Tonasket.
There are 14 positions on the CBC, with four positions each in the Inchelium, Nespelem, and Omak districts, and two positions in the Keller district. Half of them are up for election each year.
