CBC reorganized following latest election

The governing body of the Colville Confederated Tribes has a new chairman in Jarred-Michael Erickson, appointed by fellow council members on July 14, following the June election of the Colville Business Council.

Erickson, a representative of the Nespelem District, replaced fellow Nespelem District Representative Andy Joseph Jr. as chairman, with Joseph returning to his former position as Health and Human Services chair and having served as CBC chairman from 2020-2022.

Also on the CBC, Keller District Representative Jack Ferguson is serving as vice-chairman; Cindy Marchand of the Inchelium District serves as secretary and will chair the Culture, Elections, Fisheries committees.

Cody Peone of the Inchelium District chairs the Education and Employment Committee. Karen Condon of the Omak District serves as Executive Member.

Tyler Zacherle-Boyd of the Inchelium District chairs the Law & Justice Committee.

Joseph Somday of the Keller District serves as the Natural Resources chair.

Alison Ball of the Nespelem District will chair the Tribal Government committee.

Roger Finley of the Inchelium District serves as the Community Development Chair.

Dustin Best of the Omak District serves as the Veterans chair.

Norma Sanchez of the Omak District is chair of the Management and Budget Committee.

Virgil "Smoker" Marchand of the Omak District and Sharlene Zacherle of the Nespelem District serve just as representatives. 

Cindy Marchand and Peone are the only newcomers to the CBC, with Joseph, Shar Zacherle, Virgil "Smoker" Marchand, Best, and Somday all reelected in the June vote.

The other seven members are all up for reelection next year.
