Linda Christine Esmond

Linda Christine Esmond, 73, surrounded by her loving family, departed her Electric City, Washington home during the morning hours of Saturday, July 30, 2022, to meet her Lord Jesus face-to-face. This following a brave battle with A.L.S. (aka: "Lou Gehrig's Disease").

Born Sunday, July 17, 1949 at March Air Force Base, Riverside, California to George and Harriet Carrington, Linda graduated in 1968 from North High School in Riverside California.

On Saturday September 20, 1969, Miss Linda C. Carrington married Gary Esmond in Riverside, California. Their household would grow to include seven children.

Linda was an active member of Faith Community Church in Electric City, Washington, who especially loved working with young children in the Nursery and Sunday School, as well as Vacation Bible School. Linda was a member of the Grand Coulee Hospital Guild and volunteered at both the Grand Coulee Public Library and Grand Coulee Dam School District Library.

Always active, Linda participating in several 5K races and with "her walking buddies" was a familiar sight to Grand Coulee area residents as they, walked their daily five miles. Linda enjoyed riding her bike, traveling, fishing and was a 'boisterous' fan of the "Seattle Mariners," "Seattle Seahawks" and "Gonzaga Bulldogs – aka: "THE ZAGS".

For relaxation, Linda enjoyed crocheting, spending time with a good book and cooking for her family – "being famous for her delicious chocolate chip cookies". Linda's greatest joy on this earth though was time spent with Gary, her children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by both of her parents; Linda will be greatly missed by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Gary Esmond; children: Deborah Vaughn (Shannon), Jonathan Esmond (Ann), Philip Esmond (Mollie), Sarah Rietdyk (Casey), Nathan Esmond (LeAnna), Micah Esmond (Sandra) and Bethany Cauley (Michael); 19 grandchildren ; two great-grandchildren; brother, George Carrington and sister, Georgia Williams.
