Local nominated for regional award

A local restaurateur is among those nominated by a Wenatchee organization as “Entreprenuer of the Year.”

Patty Oliver, who with husband Brad Oliver owns PK’s Cullinary in Grand Coulee, is up for the honor to be awarded later in September at the NCW Tech Alliance’s Annual Innovator Awards Luncheon at the Wenatchee Convention Center.

Oliver is one of three nominated for the award.

“Entrepreneurs are people with vision and the ability to see a need and fill it. They have the courage to make change and the stamina to await results. This individual will have displayed exceptional vision, leadership and innovation in building a new company, developing a new product or service, or have creatively developed a way to deliver an existing product or service to the marketplace,” reads the criteria for the award.

Also in the running are Mike Stetner, of Stetner Electric; and Phil Foshee & Carl Skerlong of Streamline Fulfillment.

During the luncheon, NCW Tech Alliance will present five awards to innovators across the region who have demonstrated exemplary strides in entrepreneurship, technology, and education over the past year. Supporting sponsors include: Larson Gross, Van Doren, Chelan County PUD, Key Methods, Apple STEM Network, Native Network, and LocalTel.

The alliance accepted nominations from June through the beginning of August.

The luncheon is set for Sept. 21.
