General Notice

Town of Coulee Dam (Owner) is requesting Bids for construction of the West Coulee Dam Lift Station Project. Bids for construction of the Project will be received by the Owner via electronic submission only, until 1:00 PM, Tuesday November 8, 2022 local time. Bids will be opened and read aloud virtually via the following link:

A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders and posted on the Varela website.

The Project includes reconstruction of the Town of Coulee Dam’s West Coulee Dam Lift Station. Major elements of work generally include: temporary bypass pumping, demolition of existing facilities, new precast concrete wet well and valve vault, duplex submersible pump system, retrofitting of existing concrete Imhoff tank, electrical and controls, new backup generator, piping and valving, connection to existing force main, earthwork, site improvements and surface restoration, and associated work.

Bids shall be submitted electronically via the Varela Plan Room website and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents.

American Iron and Steel

Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.

The registration deadline for online registrations, mail-in registrations and transfers is October 31, 2022. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up to and including November 8, 2022.

The Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, will be open so voters may obtain replacement ballots, drop off voted ballots, obtain provisional ballots, and use the Accessible Voting Units, at the following times.

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

On Election Day only, November 8th, 2022 - 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

Voters needing additional information or assistance with voter registration forms or voting may call (509) 422-7240. Voters unable to use the mail-in ballot may use the Accessible Voting Unit available at the County Auditor’s Office.

Ballots require no postage and must be postmarked by the day of the election. Check with your local Post Office for deadlines to have your ballot postmarked properly.

Meetings of the Okanogan County Canvassing Board are open, public meetings and shall be continued until the activities for which the following meetings are held have been completed. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM, Monday November 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM to determine the status of any provisional or challenged ballots
