1/16 - Police responded to North Dam, where someone had reportedly jumped a fence with a shotgun while hunting birds and had fired two shots. Police found a man trying to retrieve two dead waterfowl from the water with a fishing pole. He said he had used a hunting app that showed the area as accessible. Police explained it was off limits for a reason. The man understood and was escorted out of the area by USBR Security Response Force officers.

1/17 - A Continental Heights woman reports a man she communicated with online was threatening to release explicit videos she had sent him if she didn’t send him $500. Police advised her not to give him any money, not to release sensitive content to people she hadn’t met in person, and other ways to report scams, of which she has been a victim in the past, as well.

1/20 - A woman on Hill Avenue reported a punctured tire and cut brake line on her vehicle. She thinks it could have been a friend or family member of an incarcerated man she ended relations with.

- Police told a woman they would conduct extra patrols on Fortuyn Road after she noted multiple occurrences of vehicles driving the wrong way down the one-way street.

- A woman told an officer that he was racist for having a vehicle on Main Street towed for having illegitimate license plates. A man who said he had recently purchased the vehicle was able to work out a deal with the tow company in order to not have it towed.

1/22 - Police checked on a white pickup truck that had been parked at Safeway for several days. It had no license plates and had been reported stolen out of Snohomish County. The vehicle was towed.

- A vehicle parked on Grand Coulee Avenue was towed because it was in the way for snow removal. The owner was told about it a month earlier and said she couldn’t move it because of a battery and transmission issue. When police saw it still there a month later, the tow was requested.
