Willa J. Rollins-Evers, 70, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Master of Any Task she chose to put her mind to, passed away Sunday evening, January 29, 2023; her husband – Chuck by her side.
Born Friday, August 8, 1952 in Ephrata, Washington to Glenn & Audrey Bell-Grubbs Sr., Willa grew to be very protective of her little brother – Glenn Grubbs Jr., having once beat up a boy who had bullied Glenn Jr. She graduated high school in Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1970, and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree.
A member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville, Willa held various jobs within Tribal Government, was an Administrative Assistant with Grant County Mental Health, and for a time owned and operated the War Bonnet Tavern in Nespelem, Washington.
Tuesday, December 31st saw the ending of 1994 and the beginning of a new page in Willa's life, when she married Chuck Evers in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they enjoyed Snowmobiling, exploring in their RV, touring on their Harley Davidsons and spending time at Lake Havasu, Arizona and Conconully, Washington – where they developed many close friendships. Willa was always the best helper on the farm, but really enjoyed going to casinos and shopping every chance she could. Those who knew Willa, quickly realized that she was "amazingly strong" ...Chuck tells of one road trip when Willa went off the road and ended up in the ditch with her Harley Davidson on top of her. Willa got back on her ride and drove it back to Grand Coulee, Washington, where she went to the Emergency Room complaining of some difficulty breathing. A chest x-ray showed that Willa had driven sixty miles of country roads with twelve broken ribs and one collapsed lung!
