Hunger relieved

People gathered at the Coulee Dam City Hall ballroom Saturday for the return of the yearly Pancake Dinner to benefit Okanogan County Fire District 2 in Elmer City, their 59th and the first since Covid restrictions nixed the fundraiser. Brad Dudley, who was busy handing out $1 raffle tickets pre-folded in bundles of 10, said the event was a financial success. The raffle brought in $1,999, he said later, the silent auction another $3,300. The actual dinner tickets brought in about $3,500 before expenses, he said. "A great night," he said, noting many donations.
