Cynthia Francis Pe-el - Manuel, 82, of Grand Coulee, Washington quietly passed away in Spokane, Washington with her family by her side, during the early morning hours of Thursday, April 27, 2023.
She entered this world Monday, July 8, 1940 in Nespelem, Washington to the home of Harrison Jabeth Jr. and Julieanne Saluskin - Pe-el.
A member of the "Confederated Tribes of the Colville" and "Shaker Church Community", Cynthia listed her life's occupation as "Chore Worker" & "Caregiver."
On Wednesday, April 7, 1976, Cynthia married Fred E. L. Manuel in Toppenish, Washington.
Having lived most of her life in Nespelem, Washington, health concerns eventually necessitated Cynthia's move to Grand Coulee, Washington in 2018.
When able - Cynthia enjoyed Fishing, Beading and occasional trips to the casino.
She is predeceased by both of her parents; son: Thomas Johnson; sisters: Mitzi Smartlowit and Faye Jabeth and grandsons: Mamoru Hewitt and Samuel Brooks.
Cynthia's legacy lives on though her husband: Fred Manuel; daughters: Julie Edwards (Michael) and Renita Brooks; grandchildren: Tiffany, Candace, Brian, Lisa, Izaiah and Joshua as well as numerous Great-Grandchildren. The family wishes to also extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff of the long term care unit at Coulee Medical Center for their attentive caring for Cynthia.
A family dressing service for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Strate Funeral Home, 329 East Grand Coulee Avenue, Grand Coulee, Washington 99133. At Cynthia's direction, cremation will follow.
