Buckets of volunteer work

A new improvement at the Ridge Riders Rodeo Grounds gets a coat of white paint Monday as Brian Sharp, of Electric City, wrestles a 5-gallon bucket of paint on a new walkway over the stock chutes. The announcer booth is new too, with the old moved to the back gate for a ticket booth. The right half of the walkway, most of which is not in the photo, was already painted. Sharp and his son Dillon were volunteering their time on the paint job, just as most of the work to build the new structure was donated. Other volunteers credited Ben Alling, right, retired welder, with getting the bulk of the work done on the steel structure.
