Gas at lower price than a year ago

Average gasoline prices in Washington are actually lower than they were a year ago, although they have risen 10.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.92 a gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,666 stations in the state.

Prices in Washington stand 54.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but are 34.2 cents higher than a month ago.

The national average price of diesel has fallen 0.2 cents in the last week and stands at $3.84 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Washington was priced at $4.13/g Sunday, while the most expensive was $5.79/g, a difference of $1.66/g. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $4.13/g while the highest was $5.79/g, a difference of $1.66/g.

The national average price of gasoline is unchanged in the last week, averaging $3.54/g today. The national average is down 1.5 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 134.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
