Soccer
The Lady Raiders beat Oroville's soccer team in Grand Coulee last night, 8-2, making a good start to a new week that followed a tough one.
The win puts Lake Roosevelt solidly in the middle of the Central Washington 1B/2B League with a 4-5 win-loss record.
Four goals by Sawyer Steffens got them half the way to the final, with two more from Nani Marconi, plus one apiece by Phenyx Marchand and Halle Picard getting to the final score.
The win was a booster after last week's three losses: 2-0 to Manson, 11-0 to Tonasket, 3-2 to Liberty Bell, there, with a chance at redemption coming home next week.
LR's girls are scheduled to play Bridgeport, there, Tuesday, Oct. 10, then host Liberty Bell Oct. 12.
Volleyball
Lady Raider volleyball came out ahead last week, beating Brewster 3-2, there, and Oroville by 3-0 in Coulee Dam, but falling to ACH in Coulee City, 3-0.
LR will face the Lady Bulldogs in Okanogan this Thursday at 6:30 p.m., then host Bridgeport next Tuesday at 6:30.
