9/29 - A truck pulling a trailer that was loaded in a too-heavy manner tipped over when leaving the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation industrial area on SR-155, resulting in the truck and trailer being in the roadway. Police diverted traffic until the USBR brought in equipment to remove the truck and trailer.

10/2 - Police told someone at the Eagles how to get a restraining order against a man who asks customers for money and help outside the establishment on the public sidewalk.

- Responding to a 911 hangup call, police spoke to a woman who admitted to hanging up on the call because the person on the other line was “stupid.” Police told her not to hang up on 911 calls because it can create confusion and potentially dangerous situations. The woman explained she wanted a welfare check done on a man who lives in a camper in the Yakima Street area whom she hadn’t been able to reach. Police didn’t speak to the man, but did speak to people in the neighborhood who had seen him recently and didn’t have any concerns about his well-being.

10/4 - Someone reported reckless driving in the Center Street area. Police spoke to the reporting party who said they would call police again if they saw the vehicle driving recklessly again.

10/5 - A woman on Roosevelt Drive was told it would be possible to get an anti-harassment order after she reported someone driving by and shouting hurtful words towards her.

- An infraction was issued to a Roosevelt Drive resident who has three dogs, one over the city has a limit. Newborn pups can be kept for up to two months.

- Extra patrols were requested on Federal Avenue after someone observed cars driving too fast on that street.

- Police stood by at the hospital where a 17-year-old had caused a disturbance by trying to leave. Police stayed until the staff felt comfortable.

10/7 - Police performed a welfare check on Cardinal Drive and spoke to a man who was doing fine. He said he would call his son who had been worried after not talking to his father for three days.

- A Grand Coulee officer assisted tribal police, responding to a River Drive residence where it was reported someone threw a knife at someone else. Police didn’t see anyone injured at the residence, and witnesses seemed unconcerned about the matter. Other people had left the residence prior to police arrival. Police eventually determined there was insufficient evidence that a crime had occurred. A knife wasn’t thrown, but there was a dispute over who owned the knife. A Coulee Dam officer had also responded to the scene.

10/8 - Grand Coulee police responded to Pine Street in Coulee Dam, as did a Coulee Dam officer and a tribal officer. A man wouldn’t allow his wife to drive with their child in his car while she was intoxicated. The woman broke a couple of coffee mugs in the home and police arrested her for domestic violence. She was taken to tribal jail.

10/2 - Security footage showed someone dressed in all camouflage, including their backpack, break into the River Drive smoke shop and steal $1,500. Butane refill bottles also appeared to have been taken, and other items were knocked around. The person’s face isn’t completely visible in the footage.

- Police responded to the River Drive area after receiving a report of someone possibly driving under the influence exhibiting poor lane control and nearly hitting a guardrail. Police didn’t see anything amiss there.

- A Coulee Dam officer assisted Grand Coulee Police in arresting a man on Cardinal Street in the Delano area who was said by his girlfriend to have knocked her down a hill in the Eden Harbor area. The man was taken to jail for assault.

10/3 - A man requested police stand by while he retrieved his vehicle from a Coulee Boulevard address. The man didn’t have a court order to retrieve his vehicle, however, so police could not stand by. A couple days later, police did stand by while he retrieved his vehicle. A woman was unhappy about the matter. Police counted 18 dogs at her residence, well above the Electric City limit of two. She was upset about being cited for the dogs, and was rude to the officer who said he would return each day to check on her progress removing the dogs, and would continue to cite her.

10/4 - Police didn’t find anything out of the ordinary in the Coulee Playland area after receiving a report of a man and woman fighting and the man trying to get the woman into a vehicle while she was trying to leave. A Grand Coulee officer assisted in the search of the area.

- Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked on Grand Avenue. A man inside said his car had possibly run out of gas and he was waiting for several hours for help. The man appeared to be high on stimulants. Police told him to have the vehicle moved before too long and not to drive it himself to avoid the charge of driving under the influence. The man denied being high, to which police responded by pointing out he had a meth pipe with him. The man willingly gave police the illegal pipe, later destroyed at the police station. The man walked away from the parked car.

10/6 - Police gathered details about possible sexual harassment between students at the high school. The victim and victim’s parents were told they could potentially petition for a protection order from the county.

- A girl was taken to Okanogan County Juvenile Detention after allegedly assaulting another girl at the high school by pushing her head into a wall. She was also charged with obstructing an officer after running away from him while he was detaining her outside of her residence.
