10/16 - After he called asking about them, police relayed over the phone that a man’s boat and truck had been towed.
10/17 - Police checked on an alarm activation on Dill Avenue and found all doors secured at the address and no signs of forced entry.
- Police spoke to a Midway Avenue business owner who said that a delivery driver delivering beer to a neighboring business has on multiple times parked in front of her business, this time blocking access to a handicap parking stall. Police spoke to an owner of the neighboring business who said they would speak with the delivery driver.
- Police went to a Grand Coulee Avenue address to follow up on a complaint about an excessive amount of dogs there, and dog feces in the yard. Police spoke to a woman there who explained she had nine adult dogs and two puppies, and breeds about one litter per year. Police explained the city code to her which has a limit of two adult dogs per residence, and that they must be registered with the city. The officer also told her she’d likely receive a letter from the city regarding the matter.
10/18 - While driving along on a field trip, an officer observed a driver ignore the flashing lights and stop signs of five school buses that were letting students out in the area of the Agency near Nespelem near SR-155 and Cache Creek Road. The driver drove around the school buses. After pulling over the vehicle, the officer spoke to the driver who said she had seen the lights and stop signs, but didn’t want to be late for work. The officer relayed information to a tribal officer, who said he would speak to the driver of the car as well as the bus drivers.
10/19 - A Ford Escape couldn’t dodge a Dodge Caravan turning left on Knute Street off Grand Coulee Avenue/SR-174, rear-ending it in an accident. There was damage to both vehicles. Both drivers denied needing medical attention. The driver of the Ford was cited for following too closely behind the Dodge.
- Seeing a car with its tail lights on in the middle of Crescent Bay Road, an officer pulled behind the vehicle and spoke to the driver. The officer smelled the odor of burned marijuana coming from the car. The driver said he was playing Pokemon Go and eventually admitted to having smoked marijuana earlier. His girlfriend took control of the vehicle. After declining to perform field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and later provided blood samples to be tested. He was cited for driving without insurance and expired registration before being released.
10/20 - Police went to Granger Avenue and Boulder Avenue where three juveniles were riding on a dirt bike. The juveniles apologized and police explained the dirt bike couldn’t be driven on public roadways.
10/21 - A man who had been kicked out of a Main Street bar was spotted by police nearby and told he was banned from the establishment after a manager requested it.

10/15 - An officer relayed information to tribal police about a minor animal bite on Tulip Street as they have an animal control officer and a holding place for animals.
- An officer went to River Drive and Birch Street at the request of a tribal officer who had pulled over a vehicle for speeding. The Coulee Dam officer observed guns and drugs on the hood of the car. The tribal officer explained he wanted him there for safety. The Coulee Dam officer left once he was no longer needed and didn’t perform any other police duties in the matter.
10/16 - A homeowner said she would like a woman banned from her Camas Street home following an argument.
10/17 - A teenager reportedly complained of living in a dirty home where cocaine was used and feces prevalent. Police went to a Lincoln Avenue residence in Electric City where the teenager’s sister allowed police to see inside. Police saw the place to be in good order. The sister said the teenager may be acting out as she is having to move to another family member’s residence.
10/18 - Police were called to Harvest Foods where someone had used drugs and left behind paraphernalia. The bathroom smelled strongly like heroin, the officer observed based on his training, and he soon felt lightheaded and went out to get fresh air and regain his composure after telling staff not to let anyone into the bathroom. The officer then collected the paraphernalia to be destroyed.
10/19 - Contractors inadvertently set off an alarm at the credit union, police learned upon response.
- A 12-year-old supporting his team at a volleyball game at Lake Roosevelt said an unknown man sitting behind him threatened to kill him and his family if he didn’t quit making noises of support. Police were unable to identify the man from a photograph provided.
- Police responded to Birch Street where a man and woman had been heard yelling. A tribal officer had already responded to the area having heard the commotion from the nearby casino. The woman had allegedly hit the tribal officer in the shoulder, resulting in one assault charge, and allegedly had previously hit a man she has been dating for several years in the eye with her knee, causing it to bruise and swell, resulting in another assault charge. The tribal jail wasn’t originally going to accept the woman on the charges, but the Coulee Dam officer explained that he would take charge because state law required him to take custody of a domestic violence suspect within four hours of the assault. The tribal jail then changed their mind and said they would book the woman, so the Coulee Dam officer was no longer needed. The officer noted that the suspect’s father, who was at the scene, is on the tribal council.
10/20 - Police stood by on River Drive while someone potentially dangerous to law enforcement was being evicted by the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office.
- Police went to a Kent Street address in Electric City where they were unable to find someone wanted on a felony theft warrant out of Spokane County. The person had been spotted by a Grand Coulee officer and presumably fled the residence after seeing the officer. Police had been allowed to search the residence.
