Masonry workers in Elmer City Tuesday work on the walls of a new garage to house fire engines that Okanogan County Fire District 2 has been working to get out of the weather for at least two years. The new 2,268-square-foot, cinderblock building with three bay doors will cost nearly $1.3 million, mostly state funds.
