10/30 - A senior center trustee was banned for one year from the center because the president of the center was unhappy with the trustee’s behavior toward a contractor scheduled to work on the building. She was confronting the contractor regarding permits, which the president said weren’t yet necessary as the contractor was only dropping off supplies. The trustee turned in her key, and police explained she was still allowed to use the public sidewalks and streets by the building.

- A collapsible cart was left near Weil Place on a trail leading to the former middle school’s athletic field. Police collected the cart, which is in good condition, to log as found property.

- Roofing contractors saw a woman throw a wallet out of the window of a white vehicle at the intersection of Roosevelt Drive and Bachelor Square before driving off. The contractor retrieved the wallet and contacted police who contacted the owner of the wallet at his nearby residence. There a man explained that a pair of women sometimes clean for him, and that one of them had come to his home to try and sell him furniture before leaving abruptly. He had left his wallet near the door and hadn’t realized it was missing, along with $50, until police returned it to him. He also admitted to paying cash for her food stamp card, which is a crime, itself. Police were able to identify the owner of the vehicle, a Chevy Equinox, and learn that she knows the woman suspected of stealing the wallet. The suspect is also wanted on a warrant for organized retail theft. Selling her food card to the man was also a crime. The case is being forwarded to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office for review of applicable charges. 

10/31 - Police looked at a storage unit left partly open and saw golf balls and a sock on the ground. The padlock was unlocked but didn’t appear tampered with. A piece of paper had a nearby resident’s name, likely the renter of the unit. Police were unable to reach her at her residence but left a business card and brief written explanation on her door. Police secured the unit and anticipated they will hear from the owner if they are needed further. 

11/1 - A man who was banned previously from The Coulee Wall Variety Store was at the store. Police told him he wasn’t allowed in the building and escorted him outside. The man seemed confused and appeared to suffer from mental issues.

- Police spoke to a couple who were arguing while walking on Alcan Road. Both said the argument was verbal only and agreed it was best to separate for the night. 

- Police spoke with a man who wrestled with his mother’s boyfriend at a residence on SR-174 while the boyfriend was intoxicated. Police collected details about the case and forwarded them to the Grant County prosecutor.

- Police responded to a Rowland Lane address following a 911 hangup call. Observing the boarded-up house, no recent contacts, and heavy rainfall, police determined the case to be a false alarm.

11/2 - Police spoke to a woman on Bowen Street and were assured an argument there had been verbal only.

11/3 - Police checked on an eye clinic where the door was open and found nothing amiss. 

11/4 - Police were unable to find a cat stuck on the roof of the former middle school after receiving a report of such. 

- A Burdin Boulevard man was told that he was banned from The Coulee Wall Variety Store on Midway Avenue following an incident there. The man said he wouldn’t set foot there ever again.

- A woman told police her daughter hadn’t returned from a trip to the grocery store, but then called back to say she had returned.

10/29 - Police stood by at an Electric Boulevard residence where a woman was experiencing withdrawals of some kind. Emergency medical staff were helping her and took her to the hospital.

10/30 - Police responded to a vehicle prowl report originating from Hillcrest Avenue. No details were included in the police report.

10/31 - After receiving a report, police collected an iPhone attached to a wallet that was in the road on Columbia Avenue. It was returned to its rightful owner who lives in Grand Coulee.

11/2 - Police knew that a man, wanted on an Okanogan County warrant for failure to appear in court for an assault case, was likely at a Cardinal Road address in Grand Coulee. The Coulee Dam officer told Grand Coulee Police that he wished to pursue the case, although the man was in their jurisdiction. He contacted the man and arrested him without incident and took him to Okanogan County Jail.

11/3 - A man wanted on a Spokane County felony theft warrant was seen at a Kent Street residence in Electric City. Police were allowed to search the residence, and found the man hiding under a bed and under a blanket. Police arrested him and took him to Grant County Jail. Grand Coulee Police assisted in the case.

- Police determined no crime had been committed after being called regarding an incident on Mead Way in Coulee Dam where a man said a woman had refused to get out of his pickup truck when he asked her to. She eventually did get out as requested and so no crime was committed.

11/4 - Police moved a dead deer out of the roadway of River Drive.

- Police handed a domestic assault case on Walnut Street over to tribal police who took a man to tribal jail who had allegedly pushed his wife.

- An Electric City man reported that while in his pickup at the casino in Coulee Dam, a woman spat in her boyfriend’s face while arguing. The couple also lives at the Electric City man’s residence. Police spoke to the two men outside the residence and found probable cause to arrest the woman for assault. She wasn’t at the residence and wasn’t found at the casino either.

11/5 - Police have probable cause to charge a man with two counts of assault and malicious mischief following an incident on Electric Boulevard. The man had allegedly pushed his sister and her daughter down during an argument about him relapsing with some kind of substance abuse. He had also allegedly cut off the valve stems of tires of their father’s truck, flattening them.
