New judge appointed in Ok. County

Kathryn I. Burke will take the bench of Okanogan County Superior Court after longtime Judge Henry A. Rawson retires Dec. 31.

Burke’s appointment was announced by Gov. Jay Inslee Nov. 30.

The Okanogan County native currently serves as the elected prosecuting attorney for Ferry County, a position she has held since 2015.

Burke earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. She earned her law degree from Seattle University School of Law.

A swearing-in ceremony is planned for Burke at the courthouse Dec. 28.
