Grand Coulee Police

12/10 - A man was banned from Voltage Coffee House after causing a disturbance while arguing with an employee after being asked to leave. He was later screaming and using abusive language inside a Chevron gas station because of the way a patron looked at him because of the screaming, causing the other patron to leave to the parking lot, followed by the man, telling him to leave him alone, and considering pulling out his firearm because he felt threatened. The man was banned from the gas station as well, and has been banned from several other businesses. He is being charged with disorderly conduct. Police learned the next day he had also been banned from a gas station in Coulee Dam. 

12/11 - Police went to the hospital where two vials were found in a bathroom, possibly containing drugs. Police opened the vials; there was paint inside.

12/12 - Police were told a wanted man was traveling in a vehicle near the top of the dam. Grand Coulee Police saw the vehicle, did a u-turn and pulled the vehicle over on Midway Avenue. A Coulee Dam officer arrived and located the man in the backseat of the vehicle underneath some stuff. He was arrested by the Coulee Dam officer after the Grant County Jail said they would book him. He was allowed to light a cigarette before being cuffed behind his back. The Grand Coulee Officer stood by while the arrest took place. The man allegedly had previously stolen from his neighbors in Electric City, and the stolen items were found in his home after police executed a search warrant. He was taken to jail by the Coulee Dam Officer.

- A man noticed his fence at his B Street home was damaged. It appeared it had been hit by a car.

- Police took photos of a Roosevelt Drive home in possible violation of city code with excessive dog feces, a paddle boat, and basketball hoop. Police also noted a fridge and tires. 

12/14 - An alarm was activated at the UPS shipping facility on Van Tyne Avenue. A vehicle had traveled into a restricted area. Police checked the building and nothing seemed disturbed.

12/15 - An alarm was activated at a home on Weil Place. Police made sure the home and garage were secure.

- Police killed a deer that could not move after being injured near East Heights.

- Police destroyed a white powdery substance believed to be fentynal that had been found at the hospital. 

- A woman said that a man gave her daughter a puppy while at Coulee Gas. Police checked with someone who may have been the original owner but he was not. Police told the woman about a rescue shelter in Okanogan.

12/16 - Police checked multiple streets in the area of Martin Road but could not find a man and woman who were reported to have been pushing and possibly punching each other.

12/10 - A boarded up building on Roosevelt Way has an ongoing issue of an alarm, probably a smoke alarm, going off inside of it. Police didn’t see any sign that someone had entered the building.

- Someone reported a suspicious person walking in the area of Sixth Street in Coulee Dam, walking around with what appeared to be a pipe and acting strangely. Police believe it was likely someone involved with other local cases. No crime had been committed. Police were unable to locate the man at the time to tell him his actions have been scaring people. The next day he was banned from a gas station in Coulee Dam after being in a bathroom for a long time and suspected of using narcotics there. The day after that he was banned from Miller Avenue properties in Electric City after some kind of issue. Police were then told a “mental health hold patient” had left the emergency room of the hospital. Police located the man who agreed to return to the hospital. After “placement” was found for him, police took him to a facility in Wenatchee.

12/14 - Police collected details on an alleged assault at the school in which one student was reported to have grabbed another student’s hood and used it to choke that student. The incident may be related to another assault incident. Police said they would review security footage to see if the incident was recorded.

12/15 - Coulee Dam Police, Grand Coulee Police, and Lincoln County officers all participated in attempting to locate a vehicle that was reported to be driving about 100 miles per hour. The vehicle was eventually located and pulled over near the top of the Grand Coulee Dam. There wasn’t probable cause for a crime being committed and no charges were filed. One of the passengers was suffering a mental health issue and was given a ride by an officer to an Electric City home. 

12/17 - Police went to a Tulip Street residence where a man was extremely intoxicated. He said people were trying to kill him. No one was. He was still on the phone with 911 when police arrived. Police told him not to abuse 911.
