Mediation Skills
NCW Libraries is partnering with the Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center to offer the Curious Conversations series in February. Each 90-minute session will offer a different mediation skill, including listening and communication, conflict dynamics and resolution, and de-escalation.
The classes will be on Feb. 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 and 22 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. You can register for one class or the whole series, although attendance at each session in the series is recommended.
The sessions will be facilitated by Jennifer Talbot, Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and has provided leadership and collaboration skills for many organizations and workplaces in the Wenatchee Valley over the past 30 years. Since January 2019 she has been the executive director of the DRC, which was named the Wenatchee Valley Chamber’s Nonprofit of the Year in 2022.
Sign up for each session at http://www.ncwlibraries.org on the events calendar.
