2/12 - A loose dog was reported on Grand Coulee Avenue. The dog had been rounded up by the family that owns it prior to an officer arriving. The officer has to see the dog loose in order to issue an infraction. The dog is frequently in the police reports for running loose.
2/13 - Police performed a welfare check on a woman at the request of someone concerned about her. The woman wasn’t at the house she was supposed to be, but police were able to talk to her through a Ring doorbell app. She was traveling to Grand Coulee and said she would speak to police when she arrived. The concerned party was displeased, saying she was supposed to be at that house and that a dog had been left alone there for a few days. Police told the concerned party that they would contact them again once they heard back from the woman.
2/14 - Police responded to a report of a male kicking a female who was on the ground on Grand Coulee Avenue. Police received a description of the pair and were told they had taken off down the street. Police were unable to find anyone matching the description. A witness recorded the incident but the video quality was too poor to be able to identify the people in the video.
2/17 - An alarm was activated at the Mexican restaurant on Grand Coulee Avenue. Police checked the building and found it to be secure with no signs of forced entry. The owner was notified. There are false alarms at the restaurant from time to time.
- A man’s vehicle was towed from Center Street where he was pulled over for driving with an expired registration. He also had a suspended license for which he had already recently been cited, which is why the vehicle was towed.
- A vehicle was pulled over on SR-174 after turning at the Four Corners intersection without stopping at the stop sign first. The car was occupied by teenagers. There was no sign of intoxication and the driver seemed surprised that there had been a stop sign. The driver was cited for failure to stop and warned about not having her license on her person and for not having proof of current insurance.
2/19 - The “rumor mill” led a Safeway manager to be concerned about a customer who was simply shopping. She had heard that someone who looked like him had threatened to stab someone. Police spoke to the man cordially, and he bought his groceries. Police believe he was mistaken for another man who had been the subject of recent calls of concern. No crime was committed.

2/12- Police assisted tribal police with an incident at a Skyview Drive apartment in Electric City. In a separate incident, police responded to an assault-related incident on Kelso Avenue. Further details on these incidents were not included in the police reports.
2/15 - Police responded to River Drive where a man was reported as carrying an ax. Police were familiar with the man and the report notes that the last contact with him resulted in some use of force. Police elected not to contact him as carrying an ax isn’t against the law and they didn’t want to set him off and provoke an erratic response from him. No crime was committed.
2/16 - Police spoke with a woman who had sold a car to an ex-boyfriend and reported the sale to the state but didn’t have the title. Police advised her to apply for a lost title to make the transfer of ownership official.
