2/21 - Police received a report of two males yelling at each other and a female crying on Wenatchee Avenue. Police spoke to a nearby resident who said there hadn’t been a disturbance at her place, and they were otherwise unable to locate the people involved in the reported disturbance.

- A man called police to report an overdose and then waved police down saying he was the one who called. He said the overdose was occurring in a Subaru driving down Alcan Road. Police pulled the vehicle over and the occupants were fine. However, a woman in the vehicle was wanted on a felony warrant out of Okanogan County and was taken to the jail there.

- A vehicle was pulled over near North Dam Park for having expired tabs. The driver explained she had recently purchased the vehicle and had not yet affixed the new plates, which were in the vehicle with her. She was cited for driving with plates that didn’t match, as well as for driving without insurance.

- Police went to Yakima Street and Alcan Road where a brown dog was chasing cars, creating danger for the drivers and the animal itself. The owners had been warned to keep the dog out of the roadway before. Police used a catch pole and dog treats to gain control of the dog and get it into a patrol car and take it down to the police station. Police attempted to contact animal rescues and a woman police have been instructed to contact in these situations. A man who knows that woman ended up taking the dog after police were unable to contact her.

2/22 - Linoleum and an old kitchen sink were illegally dumped behind the funeral home in Grand Coulee.

- A missing elder was located at the Safeway parking lot. The man had run out of gas near Coulee Playland where an owner gave him some gas and helped him get to Grand Coulee City Hall. Police recontacted the man’s family who originally had reported the incident and told them the man would be waiting in the parking lot for them to arrive.

- Police pulled over a Chevy Silverado near milepost 26 on SR-155 because its plates had belonged to a Chevy Tahoe. The driver explained she was told she owned the plates and that’s why she put them on the Silverado. The registration that goes to the Silverado had expired a few months earlier. Police saw signs of intoxication and ultimately found her to have a blood alcohol content of about 0.22, well above the 0.08 limit. She was cited for driving under the influence, the expired registration, and unmatching plates. Someone she knew gave her a ride home, and arrangements were made to get her vehicle home, as well.

2/23 - Police were told that a man in a camo jacket was loitering around the track and “in the garbage” at the former middle school. Police recognized the man and tried to talk to him but he continued walking away from the area. Police didn’t pursue him because he was leaving the area.

2/24 - Cell phone carrier issues may be the culprit causing a daughter’s concern about her mother not answering her phone. Police checked on the mother, who was fine and said that she hadn’t received any calls. Her daughter was told this information.

2/19 - Reports were filed for a disturbance on Birch Street and a 911 hangup call originating from the smoke shop in a separate incident. No further details were included in the reports for these incidents.

2/21 - A masked man in a purple jacket was caught stealing a package off a Cedar Street porch. A neighbor 30-40 yards down the road told the man to stop and the man dropped the package and took off. 2/23 - A report notes an overdose situation on Camas Street in which Coulee Dam Police assisted another agency. No further details.

- A Ford F150 pickup was reported by a driver to be driving erratically, almost striking her vehicle and a guardrail, swerving, and other erratic driving behavior. The truck had parked by a building near the bar in Electric City. The driver appeared to be asleep and police attempted to wake him, first knocking on the window, then opening the door and calling out his name. He woke after being shaken for about five seconds and when asked if he had been drinking said “mmhmm.” The man was having trouble standing and was falling asleep. He was arrested for being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken to the hospital to be evaluated. Blood was drawn as evidence and the man was left in the care of the hospital. Police took his keys to the police station, from where he could retrieve them after he sobered up.

2/24 - Dogs were reported running at large in the Hillcrest Avenue area of Electric City. Police found that there were several German shepherd puppies at a Washington Place residence. The owners said the parent dogs “accidentally” had the puppies and they were working on giving them away. Police didn’t press the matter as they were actively finding homes for the puppies.

- A woman in Okanogan County Jail called police to report her vehicle had previously been stolen off Fifth Street in Electric City. She had not reported the theft before because she knew she was wanted on an arrest warrant, but since she was in jail she decided to report it. A form was filled out detailing the vehicle theft.

2/25 - Police collected details on a hit-and-run incident near the bar in Electric City. A blue Subaru had extensive damage as if it had been scraped by the bumper of a taller vehicle, such as an SUV. Police learned of one possible suspect vehicle and will look more into that, as well as see if any security cameras in the area may have caught the incident.

- A family fight incident on Aspen Street in Coulee Dam was referred to tribal police as the incident occurred on tribal trust land.
