Coulee Dam Police

3/6 - Two propane tanks, seven gallons each, were reported stolen from a trailer on Goodfellow Avenue. There were no cameras that caught the theft and no defining characteristics of them. Police said they would keep an eye out for them.

3/7 - Police saw a boy trying to take the bumper off a car on Tulip Street and Crest Drive. The boy said he had hit a tree with the car on Civic Way before driving to the Tulip/Crest area. Police then learned that the boy, who is unlicensed, had actually hit another car, not a tree. Another boy who owns the car showed up and was upset, saying the car he bought a while back had been parked at the school shop getting a radio installed when he learned it was gone and had been in an accident. His parents took control of the car. The boy who had been driving faces charges of driving without a license, the hit and run, as well as obstruction of justice for lying about hitting a tree. A tribal officer collected details from the victim of the car that had been hit.

- A young male was said to be causing a disturbance near the bar in Electric City. Police saw a person screaming in the parking lot then running in the alleyway behind some buildings. People at the scene told police the young male had been having some kind of mental breakdown. No crime was committed. A family member took him home.

3/8 - A driver was given a speeding ticket for going 40 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone near River Drive and 11th Street. The driver said he hadn’t noticed the speed limit sign.

3/9 - A man said his cameras weren’t working at a Coulee Boulevard location and wanted police to check on his property. His cameras then started working and police were not needed.
