Tax statements have been mailed

Tax statements for the 2024 tax year of real, personal and manufactured homes including those with delinquent taxes and assessments have been mailed. We are also working on updated statements for those parcels that had changes that were processed after the original statements were created.

While the tax statement format has not changed, there are new taxes and assessments that were added for some areas of the county. For example, in the Moses Lake area there are a new hospital bond levy and the MLIRD will be back assessing again with two new levies-a Rehabilitation levy and an Irrigation levy. For the Warden and Quincy areas, there are new Port Industrial Development levies for each starting this year. For most areas, the total levy rate is lower than last year.

The county went through some majors changes this year, where we changed to a brand new property tax software the Assessor wanted that caused most of the long delays in getting tax statements out this year. Please be patience with us as we try to find information on this more complicated software. The new PACS website was finally made available to the public last week but we had to contract out to another software provider for online payments. We hope this will be available at the end of this week. You will be able to get current and some back year tax information also at this new website at grantcountywa.gov/384/treasurer. Just press PACS under Parcel Information. We also still provide the old TaxSifter website link to provide older information that was not part of the conversion.

To better serve the taxpayers of Grant County, we are continuing to mail tax information notices to homeowners with mortgages and exemption notices to senior citizens who have received a full exemption of all their taxes. Please send the bottom left coupon of your statement if you are paying by mail for proper crediting. If you have more than one coupon, you may make one check for the total taxes and please remember to sign your check. Please check your envelope to verify that all parcels that you want to pay on are on your statement(s). For 2024, the 1st half or full payment of taxes are due by April 30th. If you have not received all your tax statement(s) by this week, please call our office.

The Treasurer’s drop box located in the courthouse parking lot for tax payments is opened for your convenience.

If you have any additional questions regarding your taxes, please call 754-2010.
