Rotary offering scholarship

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Rotary Club is offering a scholarship for up to $4,000 to a Lake Roosevelt student to a four-year university, a community college, or a trade or technical school.

The scholarship could pay $1,000 a year to a four-year university or #1,000 a year as needed at a community college or trade or technical school.

- The General Scholarship Application is a writable Word document. You will be able to save your work and edit your responses directly on the application; otherwise, you must print the application after you have completed it. You may also print the application and fill it out by hand. Please make sure your handwriting is legible.

- Attach a copy of your transcript of courses/ grades.

- Student Essay - Print or type an essay and include it with your complete application. The essay must be original thoughts of the applicant, in the applicant’s own words, written by the applicant.

- Attach three letters of recommendation completed by an adult on the forms provided.

It is suggested that you have your completed application reviewed by your guidance counselor, individual writing your letter(s) of recommendation, or another trusted adult to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Completed, hard-copy applications are to be submitted to the address below no later than Friday, May 17, for consideration. Applications postmarked on Saturday May 18, or later will not be accepted. Mail it to:
