Having family at Grand Coulee, I have relatives who work at the dam and it mystifies me how little attention presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., pays to hydro-electric power. True, I mention wind and solar, but rarely (if ever) hydro.
The man comes from a rich family and most of them have disavowed him as “dangerous” and called his make-believe candidacy a “vanity project”. He shows images of his father (RFK, Senior) and his uncle (President JFK). But one thing is for sure, “Junior” cannot hold a candle to either of those gentlemen. RFK, Jr., walks through airliners barefoot like a barbarian. He is rich, yet he is wanting taxpayer-subsidized security-men to guard him. Let him pay for that himself.
Mr. Kennedy touts himself as being “green.” He is, in the neophyte sense of the word. Has he recently proposed building any more hydro-electric dams anywhere? Not to my knowledge. He rides on the past work and laurels of others.
Now, RFK, Jr., has the audacity to want to take a “poll” between himself and President Biden and have the loser drop out. That is mind-boggling. The young Kennedy only polls around 11% and he wants to leapfrog his way over an incumbent president solely by a “poll”? Astonishing. Plus, a lot of wishful thinking. If anyone should drop out, it is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. He is a fringe candidate whose logic is often murky and he doesn’t have the interests of most Americans at heart. I initially liked him, but he has proven to be a spoiler candidate merely pumping money into a campaign.
Sincerely,
James A. Marples
