Ella Mae LaFountaine

Ella Mae LaFountaine passed on at the age of 77 on May 7, 2024 at her home in Nespelem, WA. She was born in Seattle, WA on February 2, 1947. Ella grew up in Seattle where she met the love of her life John B LaFountaine on a blind date.

Ella was a member of the Grand Coulee Dam Eagles #2577 Ladies Auxiliary,where she held several official positions.

Ella was also a very active member of the Nespelem community including in her later years the Nespelem Senior Meal Site. She had liked to travel with the group to the various Elder dinners on other Reservations.

Ella is survived by her loving husband of 58 years John B LaFountaine. Together they moved to Nespelem in 1972 and built a loving home. They have two sons, Rod M LaFountaine and John W LaFountaine. Three grandchildren, Dakotah, Hunter, and Marissa. One great-grandchild, Marlee.

A viewing and service was held May 9, 2024.
