7/22 - A man urinated in the middle of the street in the area of A Street and 2nd Street. A man who observed it was upset he saw the urinator’s genitalia. Police spoke to the urinator who said he had bladder problems. Police told him to at least try to find a private spot in such an emergency and that the middle of the road wasn’t appropriate.

- Police were told that a man took a bottle of gin from the alcohol aisle of Safeway, threatened employees, and locked himself in the restroom. Police unlocked the bathroom and found the man going “#2” as described in the police report. The man finished up, washed his hands, and was detained.  He was told that he was banned from Safeway. He told police that they didn’t know who they were messing with and that he owned Safeway and had the paperwork to prove it. Police didn’t entertain this idea and told him he was free to go.

7/23 - A woman on Grand Coulee Avenue told police her cat had been shot. Police observed a small hole on the side of the cat. Police spoke to a neighbor who said he didn’t shoot the cat. There were no other suspects.

7/24 - Smoke was coming from a red GMC pickup truck in the Safeway parking lot. The owner told police he would keep the vehicle parked until a repair could be made on the engine. He didn’t need any further assistance. 

7/25 - A Federal Avenue man told police about his neighbor’s dogs running at large and defecating in his yard, and about their having a stinky fridge outside that he suspects has rotting food inside. Police later spoke to the neighbor who said she intends to get rid of the fridge and wants to remedy all issues. She provided her cell phone number for police to give to the neighbors.

7/22 - Police found a metal bar and a sweatshirt in an alley near Grand Avenue in Electric City. The bar had been used to hit cinder blocks. Police were unable to find a suspect.

- Police met tribal police at the former Coulee House motel, where they’d been requested to help in a room search, but it was decided not to search its rooms. 

7/23-7/26 - Reports were filed for separate incidents including a family fight on Federal Avenue in Grand Coulee, assisting Child Protective Services at Sunbanks Resort, and a theft on Washington Place in Electric City. Additional details about the circumstances of the separate instances were not included in the reports.

7/28 - A security employee at Sunbanks Lake Resort reported people being loud at an RV site. He said he approached the campers and they reacted aggressively towards him. Police spoke to the group who denied being loud. Police explained the resort’s rights to have them removed if they don’t adhere to the rules.

- Police provided a woman in Coulee Dam with information to potentially assist in getting a parenting plan in place. She had told police that her ex-boyfriend wasn’t letting her see her child. Police explained there wasn’t much they could do without a parenting plan in place.

- A report was filed related to a traffic accident on Pleasant Valley Road in Grand Coulee. Additional details about the situation were not included in the report. 

7/28 - A man was driving backwards on Coulee Boulevard when police pulled him over near the gym. Due to his slurred speech and demeanor, police suspected heroin use. He performed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence, for which he was taken to jail. A search warrant obtained for the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.
