9/8 - An officer went to an SR-174 address in Douglas County and stood by while a Douglas County deputy investigated a burglary report.

9/10 - While parked near River Drive and 11th Street in Coulee Dam, an officer clocked a vehicle going 35 miles per hour in the 20 miles per hour school zone. The speed limit outside of the school zone is 30 miles per hour. The vehicle was pulled over. The driver said he normally goes 30-35 mph in that area. He told the officer that he doesn’t drink but the officer smelled alcohol and noted bloodshot eyes. The officer conducted field sobriety tests on the driver who then refused to give a breath sample, but had given the officer enough reason to believe he was intoxicated and shouldn’t be driving. He was taken to the police station where he then gave breath samples all around 0.12, over the 0.08 limit. He was taken to Okanogan County Jail for driving under the influence and his vehicle was towed.

9/11 - Police investigated a report of a vehicle prowl on Cedar Street. A resident had seen someone leave after tampering with a vehicle at an abandoned house. Police were provided with photos of the suspect the vehicle left in. Police pulled the vehicle over on Elmer City Access Road and the driver and passenger laughed and said they thought someone might call. They said they had permission from a man to get what they needed from the vehicle they were at on Cedar Street. Police confirmed this by calling the man, who explained his significant other owned the property and they had permission to get what they needed from the vehicle on Cedar Street. No crime had been committed.

9/12 - Coulee Dam Police assisted Grand Coulee Police at a Grand Coulee Avenue address where a woman was reported as possibly waving a gun around. No gun was visible to the Coulee Dam officer at the scene. The woman’s daughter was allowed to go stay at a family friend’s, saying that she was stressed out by her mother.

9/13 - On a 911 hangup call a woman said “my boyfriend” before the call ended. The call pinged from the main lodge at SunBanks Lake Resort. There police spoke to a woman with a bloody lip. She explained that she was arguing with her boyfriend and was going to light her truck on fire, believing it was bad luck, and attempted to light a towel on fire to throw into the truck when her boyfriend intervened, stopped her from doing so, and left the resort in the truck. Police were unable to find or speak to the man at the time of the report. He may face a charge for domestic violence.

- Security footage showed a man pull up to the gas station in Coulee Dam at about 3 a.m. in a tan pickup, get out, and attempt to enter the closed station through a rollup shop door and the main door. Police were unable to see a license plate number on the vehicle the suspect drove up in.

- Police spoke to a man on Spokane Way who had a bloody lip and abrasions on his face. He explained that while walking his girlfriend to her home at the Spring Canyon apartments, he got into a fight with her “baby daddy,” who also lives there. He didn’t wish to press charges and was given a ride home. Police then spoke to the other man at the apartments who said he was approached by the boyfriend who shoved him and he shoved him back. Police observed blood on the doorstep. That man didn’t wish to press charges either.

9/13 - Someone heard loud noises, possibly gunshots, and a vehicle driving crazily with screeching tires near the Four Corners area. A Coulee Dam officer told a Grand Coulee officer that he had recently performed a traffic stop on some young men driving cars with loud mufflers that likely had caused the loud noises. The Grand Coulee officer checked the surrounding area but didn’t see anything suspicious.
