Thanking them for their service

Veterans, community members, students and faculty watch a video slide show of local veterans Friday during a Veteran's Day assembly at Lake Roosevelt High School. Students applauded each for their service, a little louder for those in attendance or whom they knew. The assembly also featured band and choir performances, an honor song, students presenting certificates to attending veterans, a history lesson on the holiday, and even cake afterward. - Scott Hunter photo
