The Raider boys’ basketball team is off to a flying start with a 4-0 record so far, all against a a range of non-league teams.
LR beat 1B Wilson Creek 79-20 Dec. 2, Davenport by 53-34 Dec. 3, 1A Hoquiam 61-39 Dec. 6, and 1B DeSales 55-53.
They’ll host Liberty Bell (3-0) Friday night, then the Freeman Scotties (2-0) Saturday in Coulee Dam. Those games start at 7:30 p.m.

The LR girls’ team beat Wilson Creek 63-15 Dec. 2, but lost to Davenport 54-22 Dec. 3. Last night, Pateros bested them by 10 points 40-30.
Lady Raider wrestling
The 15-wrestler LR girls’ wrestling team took 20th at a 55-team tournament Saturday, and new head Coach Victor Landeros thinks they’ll be placing high as a team later this season, with a lot of wrestlers to fill in those weights.

The Raider wrestlers competed at a Liberty Bell tournament against eight opponents Dec. 5, then had meets at Davis High in Yakima and at Omak on the schedule for Dec. 7.
The schedule shows a dual meet with Okanogan at LR on Wednesday, Dec. 18. At 7 p.m.
Then the Raiders will host their big home event, The Powerhouse Tournament, Dec. 21, starting at 10 a.m. On the guest list are Cascade High School (Leavenworth), Cle Elum-Roslyn High School, Davenport High School, Inchelium High School, Okanogan High School, Kittitas High School, Omak High School, Republic High School, Reardan High School, Tonasket High School, White Swan High School, Tekoa-Rosalia High School, Warden High School, Liberty Bell Jr/Sr High School, Sumner High School, and Quincy High School.
