Coulee Dam Police
12/19 - A Grand Coulee officer assisted Coulee Dam Police with a call on Grand Avenue in Electric City. Allegedly, a man had been fighting with a woman about cigarettes, resulting in him throwing her to the ground at one point, throwing items at her, and also taking her phone and purse. The two had been in a dating relationship and were hired to clean a place on Grand Avenue. The Grand Coulee officer was at the situation first and was trying to separate the man and woman. The man reportedly was trying to fight the Grand Coulee officer then got into the officer’s driver seat in his patrol car in an attempt to flee, then getting pepper sprayed, then taking off on foot towards Banks Lake, taking off some clothes before getting into the lake and in pain from the spray. The officers both waited for the man to come ashore. He came ashore, was treated by a medical crew for the spray and for extreme cold from being in the lake, and was ultimately arrested and taken to Grant County Jail. The charges include robbery for taking the purse, attempted theft of a vehicle, interfering with reporting of domestic violence for taking the phone, and assault.
12/20 - A Grand Avenue woman was arrested for assault and for resisting arrest before being taken to Grant County Jail. The woman had allegedly been intoxicated and hit the man she lives with with a vacuum and a plastic garbage container as well as injuring his pinky finger. A Grand Coulee officer was in the area and started the process of dealing with the situation. She allegedly resisted arrest and struggled to get away from both the Coulee Dam and Grand Coulee officers, eventually being taken to the ground and hitting her head, and being sprayed with pepper spray. She was treated for those injuries before being taken to jail.
12/22 - Someone on Tulip Street reported a fight had been going on at a home. Police arrived and learned that a woman had been yelling on the phone. The person who reported the fight didn’t know what had been happening but had heard the yelling. There was no physical fight.
12/23 - A man had the fuel filler line cut on his Dodge Ram and 10-15 gallons of gas siphoned out while parked on 6th Street in Coulee Dam.
