News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
Mark James Atchison passed into the waiting arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday December 21, 2024. He was born in Omak, Washington January 23, 1973, to Edna (Atchison) Hauser and Robert Woods.
Mark grew up in Coulee Dam, attending school there with many who have remained lifelong friends. He basked in the love and attention provided by his loving grandparents and family. He was a long-time resident of the Coulee area, having worked as a teen for Coulee Hardware, and later in life in the construction field in Spokane and elsewhere.
We are heartbroken at the loss of our son, brother, father and friend, and miss him so much. His love of family, friends and music, along with his sense of humor have given us memories that are helping us cope with our loss, as do the following bible verses: John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears what I say and believes in the One who sent me has eternal life. That person will not be judged guilty but has already left death and entered life." Psalm 34-18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed."
Mark is survived by his mother, Edna Hauser, loving sister Genevieve (Bob) Rockwell, niece and nephew Abby and Robert, children Mariah, Dominick, Sydney and Sienna, grandchildren Rose and Ava, his beloved aunt Rosie, bonus sisters Lori and Janet and a large family who will miss him so much.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Darvin Hauser, who loved and cared for him deeply.
Final services celebrating Mark's life will be announced as arrangements are finalized; sometime in March 2025.
