Boys' basketball

The Raider basketball team holds a 17-2 overall win-loss record and sits unbeaten atop the Central Washington 2B league standings at 5-0.

The Lake Roosevelt boys this week topped Brewster 69-37, Tonasket 66-52, Lakeside (at Plummer, ID) 81-70, and the 1-A Omak Pioneers just last night 85-42 as Ivan Alejandre joined the 1,000-point club.

They'll play two away games in the remainder of the regular season schedule: at Liberty Bell this Friday night at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 4 when they meet the Goats in a non-league contest at Chelan at 7:15.

Girls' basketball

The Lady Raiders hold a 3-2 in-league record so far, 8-10 overall and are in third place in the CWB-2 league behind Brewster (4-0, 13-4) and Okanogan (4-0, 12-7).

They'll play against Liberty Bell at Winthrop Friday at 6 p.m., then face the Mountain Goats in Chelan Feb. 4 at 5:45 p.m.

Wrestling

Eight Raider wrestlers competed at the Okanogan Bulldog Invite Saturday when every one of them made the top four in their weight classes, putting Lake Roosevelt third with 144 points among 12 competing teams. Okanogan took first with 20 athletes wrestling and 246 points.

The Raiders will host Okanogan Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. in a dual meet.
