Seven people were involved in a two-car crash Saturday near the top of Grand Coulee Dam on SR-155. Three were injured and taken to Coulee Medical Center.
According to a Washington State Patrol press memo, a 2007 Black BMW driven by Aidan Palmanteer, 18, Grand Coulee, was headed south at 4:51 p.m. when it crossed the center line into the northbound lane, striking a 2004 Nissan Armada.
Both cars were totaled.
The Nissan, driven by Jesus Llamas, 48, Grand Coulee, was also carrying four passengers: a 10-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, a 45-year-old woman, all of Grand Coulee, and an 18-year-old man from Keller. The 10-year-old and the 45-year-old were injured.
None of them were wearing seatbelts.
Palmanteer, the driver of the BMW was also injured. His 18-year-old male passenger was not. Both wore seatbelts.
The WSP report lists driving under the influence as the cause of the crash and indicates Palmanteer would be charged with vehicular assault.
