Benjamin Nathaniel Frier, age 43, passed away peacefully at his home in Elmer City, Washington on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Ben enjoyed the outdoors and called the state of Washington his home for most of his life. Most of his career was with the State of Washington, Department of Corrections, the highlight of which was his time leading the Pawsitive Dogs program. Through that program Ben developed a deep connection with the Spokane Humane Society and served on their board for a time. Recently, Ben worked as the school security officer with the Grand Coulee Dam School District. Ben's greatest passion was defending and protecting the vulnerable and at risk.
Ben will be remembered for his great sense of humor, big hugs and kind heart. Preceded in death by both his parents, Ben is survived by his sisters, Amanda Frier and Monica (Richard) Wadatz; brothers, Aaron (Jenny) Frier, and Joshua Frier; his Uncle Jim (Gayle) Bethea and his 10 nephews and nieces who will all miss him greatly. His many friends and extended family also morn his passing.
Please join us in our celebration of his life on Friday, February 21,2025. Ben will be laid to rest next to his mother, aunt and grandmother at Spring Canyon Cemetery, 45387 Camp Ground Drive, Grand Coulee, Washington, at 1 p.m. Following his internment, there will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 806 Spruce Street, Coulee Dam, Washington 99116.
