With a Heart Full of Love, We Remember Payden
Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our beloved Payden Robert DuBois, who left us on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 28. Born in Grand Coulee, Washington on June 19, 1996, to Joni Azure (McGuire) and Elijah DuBois, Payden was a light in our lives, a cherished son, brother, partner, and friend.
Payden was a soul brimming with creativity. His talent as an artist, whether through tattooing or his unique art tagging, was a reflection of the beauty he saw in the world. But more than his artistic gifts, it was his capacity to love that truly defined him. He loved with all his heart, embracing his family and friends with a warmth that was both comforting and profound. His laughter was infectious, his smile a beacon of joy, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel seen and valued.
Payden possessed a beautiful spirit and a mind that saw the world in a way that was uniquely his. He was a treasure, a rare and precious soul, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. We will forever hold dear the memories of his kindness, his humor, and the love he so freely shared.
He leaves behind his loving parents, Joni and Charles Azure, Elijah and Stella DuBois; his sisters Alyssa and Ally Azure, and Marley DuBois; his brothers Lofton DuBois and Mason Azure; and his cherished girlfriend, MaKenna Courtney, along with Tru, Sydnie and Maddie Courtney, who were his dear friends during his happiest times. He also leaves his Uncle Robert McGuire (Alita) and cousin April McGuire. Payden was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Amey McGuire and Beverly DuBois.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Payden's life and the love he brought into the world.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, Washington with burial following at Spring Canyon Cemetery his resting place next to his grandparents. A potluck will follow at the Eagles Lodge in Grand Coulee, Washington.
In our hearts, Payden's love will live on, a lasting testament to the beautiful soul he was.
