Coulee Dam Police

3/10-3/13 - Police filed reports for separate cases without further details. The reports include cases related to disorderly conduct on 4th Street in Electric City; an animal problem on Birch Street in Coulee Dam; harassment on Gold Street in Electric City; an unclassified overdose on Wenatchee Avenue in Grand Coulee; an assault on 4th Street in Electric City; a family fight at an SR-174 address; and trespassing on Cedar Street in Coulee Dam.

3/11 - While teaching a math class at Lake Roosevelt, a man set his phone down and then was unable to find it and thought it may have been stolen. The phone pinged to the school, however, so it may have only been misplaced. Police told him to recontact them if he still believed it was stolen.

3/14 - A Coulee Dam officer drove to the catholic church in Grand Coulee to assist a Grand Coulee officer with a fresh burglary report. Upon arrival, the officer noted a door was open, two windows were broken, and knives and cigarettes were lying around. The reporting party showed a photograph of the suspect walking towards the UPS building wearing a red and black backpack. The officer went to the UPS area and didn’t find the suspect but did find the backpack on the ground near some bushes and a tree. The backpack was turned over to the Grand Coulee Police Department, which handled the rest of the case.

3/15 - A River Drive woman told police about a scam text message she received from someone claiming to be the credit union she uses, saying that she had sent $800 to someone named James, which she hadn’t done. The text included a link that she didn’t click on, recognizing it to be a scam. The officer told her she did the right thing and there wasn’t much else that could be done otherwise.
