3/31-4/6 - Reports were filed without details about several situations: one for a verbal disturbance on Birch Street in Coulee Dam, one for a public service/citizen assist on Jackson Avenue in Electric City, one for a past disturbance on Continental Heights in Grand Coulee, one related to a theft on Camas Street, one related to trespassing at the hospital in Grand Coulee, and one related to a vehicle prowl and theft from a vehicle on Washington Place in Electric City.

4/2 - A woman was “walking funny” on the bridge in Coulee Dam with her legs far apart. An officer found her near the city shop. She said she was walking through Coulee Dam because it was pretty. The officer agreed to give her a ride to her residence when asked, but she walked away when the officer exited his car. She didn’t appear to have broken any laws.

4/4 - A man moving from one Electric City house to another on Kelso Avenue reported the theft of $4,000 from a desk at the new house, and suspected it was a long-time friend whom he had allowed to stay there and who had a key. There was no sign of forced entry. He did not wish to press criminal charges.

4/5 - An officer helped a Grand Coulee woman get in touch with Grant County Mental Health to talk about her struggles. The Grand Coulee Police Department didn’t have an officer signed into service at the time, only on call, so the Coulee Dam officer elected to respond to the situation.

4/6 - A woman reported her son’s BMX bicycle was stolen from the front of their Electric Boulevard residence. Police were provided with pictures of the bike which showed the model of the bike which was valued at $200.

3/21 - A man noticed a basement door open at the house of someone he knows. He called the man but he was not in town. His son, in western Washington, said that no one should be at the home. The door appeared to have been kicked in, but nothing appeared taken when the man checked it out. The homeowner asked the man to get a case number from police if it turned out something had been stolen.

3/22 - A woman reported that her vehicle was stolen while parked at Safeway. Police reviewed footage and identified who took it. The officer confronted her at a Roosevelt Drive residence. She said she was told to take the vehicle as the driver wasn’t fit to drive. The cop said that wasn’t the right thing to do. He collected the keys and returned them to the rightful owner, who retrieved her car which was parked by a church near a Chevron station. She later said she was missing a purse and described it to the officer. The woman who took the vehicle denied taking the purse. The owner of the vehicle/purse was told to contact police if more details emerged.

3/25 - A Grand Coulee Avenue woman reported that she came home and believed her cat had been poisoned but she was able to nurse it back to health. She believed it could have been a neighbor she’s had issues with before, but didn’t have any evidence of that.

3/26 - Police went to Wheatland Bank on Midway Avenue because of an alarm. The bank was simply testing their alarm system.

3/28 - A man driving south on Midway Avenue was struck by a car turning south out of the Safeway parking lot, hitting his rear passenger side, damaging the wheel area and rear panel. The driver leaving Safeway explained that as she was turning, she saw the northbound vehicle too late to stop. Her vehicle had front-end damage and the bumper came off. Both vehicles were parked legally alongside the road but were undrivable. An officer helped the drivers exchange information and gave the woman a ride to her home in Coulee City.
